I recently had to relocate from Ventura County, where I had lived for many years, as my beloved landlady had a stroke and her children, who lived elsewhere, sold the house. I was shocked and saddened to find the rental market everywhere in the county had skyrocketed out of my reach. The closest area I could afford was the Bakersfield area. I was happy to find Taft, a small town just south of Taft. This is where we moved a couple of months ago, and we have found it to be a very sweet town full of friendly people. We are so grateful to have found the beautiful home where we now live.
